ANDREÏ BODNARTCHOUK : Guitar
Born in Moscow, Andreï studied at the Conservatory and
received his diploma
in 1984.
Since then he has played with some of the best Russian jazz
groups.
In the 1980's and 1990's Andreï was one of the first
Russian jazz musicians
to perform abroad at many Western European jazz festivals:
The North Sea
Jazz Festival (Holland), Poland, Germany, Hungry and the
prestigious "Nice
Jazz Festival" in France. Having recorded on many albums as
a sideman he
released his first album, "Veronique", under his own name
in 1992. Since
then he has toured Europe with his group, performing in
many French
festivals such as Nice, Antibes, Lorient, Bergerac,
Chateauneuf, Montauroux,
Lorgues & Cannes..., but also in Germany (Oldenburger
Promenade) and of
course in his native Russia (Moscou, Ekaterinburg....)
NEIL GERSTENBERG : Soprano Saxophone, Pennywhistle
Neil Gerstenberg (saxello, alto sax, traditional flutes)
began playing
saxophone semi-professionally aged 17 with the best of the
British jazz
players. Since moving to France in 1992 he has performed
and recorded with
many world-class groups including Synop-sis (album
“Home” feat. David
Sanborn), Jean-Marc Jafet (“Douceur Lunaire”
1998), Thierry Maillard (“Entre
Deux Mondes” 2005) and his own Jazz and Celtic
groups. Neil has performed
worldwide at clubs and festivals including Le Sunset, Le
Baiser Salé,
Edinburgh Festival, Taiwan, UAE Meridian Jazz, Islay,
Brecon Jazz Festival,
Brignoles, and the Nice Jazz Fesival, with leading
musicians such as Warren
Vaché, Brian Kellok, Julian Arguelles, John & Ronnie
Rae, Lionel & Stéphane
Belmondo, J-M Jafet, Olivier Ker Orio, Fred d'Oelsnitz,
Bibi Rovère, Babik
Reinhardt, François Chassagnite & Sylvain Luc.
ERIC SEMPE : Guitar
Born in France (Nice) Eric was awarded his National Jazz
Guitar Diploma at
the Nice Conservatory in 1986, and his State Teaching
Diploma in 1992.
He is a registered arranger and composer with SACEM, and
has worked on many
French productions (arrangement, composition) for artists
such as Jean-
François Michaël, Félix Sabba-Lecco, Jean-Claude VanDamme
(in collaboration
with Claude Lemesle), Kazino ... He has recorded several
albums and
performs throughout Europe with artists such as Synop-sis
(CD feat. David
Sanborn), Chris de Burgh, Liz McComb, Nadiya, Organiz &
François Jeanneau in
many different countries: France, Germany, Pakistan,
Armenia etc.
